Khaki queen
I normally consider myself more of a princess than a queen but I'm happy to promote myself for the alliterative prospects of this blogpost. Incase you hadn't worked it out already; I love khaki. I love it even better when it's a bargain like this H&M dress was. It was in the sale for only £15 and they only had one and it was my size! Don't you just love when that happens? (although it happens very rarely). I'm not a big fan of this style of sleeve but I like the military vibes and the length is literally perfect for either work or casual. In this case it was for work; my new job which I have definitely not over-mentioned this week. Anyway, the dress is a bit shapeless but it does come with a fabric belt to cinch in the waist. However, I chose to add my own black belt (missguided) to break up the colour a bit and matched it to my shoes (river island) and my Chanel handbag which I didn't include in the photos. The white jacket was a bit of a random addition but I don't feel emotionally prepared for one of my thicker coats because I'm still not over summer yet, so I just wanted something light; white may not go but atleast it doesn't clash. I don't understand how everyone says their favourite season is autumn. I like certain parts of every season but summer is my favourite by far; I love being tanned and shopping for bikinis and going on holiday and waking up to blue skies and being able to sit outside and drink cocktails. To me autumn is the end of all that; it's dark evenings (which messes up my blog-photo-taking schedule), and not wanting to get out of bed because it's suddenly cold and not being able to wear open-toe shoes. I am so not ready.
