Friyay friday funday

Does anyone feel like the second that it's officially 'summer', you have to be out doing fun things all the time to make the most of it? Like watching netflix for 38 hours straight and eating your body weight in snacks and chocolate is perfectly acceptable in winter, but in summer you have to be taking road trips and going to the beach and getting drunk at late night BBQs. So to kick off on the activity days for the summer, me and my bestie Laura went to Drayton manor theme park - we had originally been planning to go to Alton towers but after they either got possessed by demons or had their security system hacked and had 3 ride breakdowns in a month, we decided that we'd rather not risk our legs or our lives and switched to Drayton manor instead. It was a sunny day so I wore khaki printed shorts (river island) and my white wrap top (new look) with white chunky sandals (my replacements for the ones that got ruined last summer) from new look. I accessorized with oversized sunnies and a mushroom coloured bucket bag, which were both from primark.

We were unlucky with the timing because we managed to pick the day where all the schools have their end-of-year trips so the whole place was teaming with rude pre-teens all day but we still managed to get on a lot despite the fact that it was busy. We went on a standing drop tower, a standing roller coaster, a triple-drop log flume (which we went on twice because it was so good) and then a spinning upside down ride (not a great description I know) which we went on twice aswell because there was no queue for it. And me and Laura caught a serious case of the giggles while we were on it so the theme park staff probably thought we were more immature than all the school children that were there. It's a good job we managed to go on a nice sunny day though because we got absolutely drenched on the log flume. It's safe to say that I did not look chic with drenched hair which quickly became crazy lion hair as it dried, and a soaked top. I didn't fully think my outfit choice all the way through because I looked like I was competing in a wet t-shirt competition or something - definitely not chic!

Then we finished off with monster ice creams and a drive home that we spent singing along (very loudly) to the radio. Considering we're both terrible singers, it's a good job that noone could hear us.
