OOTD: jungle fever
In most offices this outfit would be deemed 'non-office-appropriate'. Which is just one more reason that I love my job - we can wear pretty much anything we want. This outfit would be perfect for taking from desk to a night out but I'm not that kind of girl; if there's an opportunity for more outfits then I will take it. I do love this outfit though and these shorts (river island) are great for a sunny day because although they're short, they're not overly fitted so people don't give you funny looks for not wearing enough clothes. I wore them with this new look cut-out crop top (I positioned my hair very deliberately so you can see the cut out bit) and then my current favourite shoes. These strappy pointed-toe black new look shoes are ridiculously pretty and ridiculously painful but I'm persevering with them and slowly building up a tolerance. Because they don't rub or give me blisters, they're only painful because of the pointed toe which squashes your feet so my feet recover straight away and it's easier to wear them again. Next time you see a woman walking down the street in heels, you should consider all the pain and carefully thought-out strategies that she's undergone in order to wear said shoes. I finished the outfit with my khaki duster coat (missguided), Marc Jacobs watch and gold rings, as well as Taupe lipstick by MAC.
