OOTD: military chic

I decided to channel a bit of military chic today (as the title suggests) with my latest favourite coat. I've wanted a long khaki duster coat for soooo long and I finally found one at new look but they sold out in my size (worst thing ever). So I was over the moon when I found this beauty at missguided for £40 - it's such a nice peachskin fabric (kindof like suede) and the added layering next to the lapels create a nice shape. It doesn't hang very well because it's such a light fabric but I'm hoping it will slowly drop naturally the more I wear it. Today, I wore it with all monochrome everything; one of my favourite black skirts from H&M, high neck striped crop from new look and then these gorgeous snake print mules from missguided. I actually bought these shoes about a year ago but I bought them as we went into winter and I didn't get a chance to wear them before open-toe-shoe weather was long gone. So today I finally did when I added a little clashing prints to the mix (well I haven't done it in a while) by wearing stripes with snake print. These shoes are so beautiful but I have a feeling I'll need to recover before wearing them again; they ripped my feet to shreds. Why can't we live in a world where pretty shoes don't hurt your feet, doing side planks doesn't make you want to die and bread doesn't make you fat? I think that should probably be followed with a #FirstWorldProblems.
