Kiss me like you wanna be loved

I clearly do too much online shopping and not enough physical shopping in town (well not very much of either lately but I plan to change that now my holiday's paid off), because I didn't even know that we now have a Kiko store in Nottingham. Halfway between MAC and drugstore, it's a brand with real quality products that aren't totally bank-breaking. I felt like my personal makeup collection was lacking in lip liners so I thought I'd invest in a few (especially since I don't like the finish on kiko lipsticks).

The first is the precision lip pencil in shade 300 which was £4.20 and is the perfect nude. I personally like using lip liners to fill my lips in rather than for lining them so I chose each one purely for the colour rather than the finish or precision (all 3 have a matte finish). I love Velvet teddy and Spirit and Taupe (my collection of nude MAC lipsticks) but all 3 of them have undertones; pink for velvet teddy and spirit, and red for taupe; so I wanted just a basic nude lipstick and this shade was perfect for my skin tone (anything too light would wash me right out). Application takes a while but it lasts well once it's on. FYI, I've only just noticed that I'm wearing the same top here as I was the last time I did a lipstick haul - weird coincidence.

This lip liner is the automatic precision liner in the shade 502 and is very slightly more expensive at £5.90. You can actually tell the difference in quality though; it's much nicer to apply and isn't quite as drying on the lips even though it's still a matte finish. I love the colour because it's similiar to Whirl and Soar by MAC (both of which are on my wishlist); a really nice nude pink similiar to the colour Kylie Jenner wears.

This one is probably my favourite because it's so different to any colours I already own. I've wanted a kindof brown lipstick for ages and so this precision lip pencil in shade 305 is just what I was looking for. It's a lovely rusty brown colour (maybe it doesn't sound lovely but you can see for yourself what a nice shade it is) with red undertones and it makes a great statement lip. Because it's dark you do have to reapply it quite often (especially in the centre) so the fiddly application isn't ideal but it's well worth the price (only £4.20).

Just in case you were wondering what the rest of my outfit consisted of; I wore my printed shirt (topshop) with truffle coloured trousers that were from H&M. Normally when I wear these caged black heels (new look) with trousers, I roll them up slightly but because of the fit and style of the trousers, they actually looked better left down. I completed the outfit by adding my white missguided coat (which isn't wise when you're going lipstick testing) and then my Marc Jacobs watch.
