Friyay fun
In keeping with tradition (and the rules of feminism), this friday night was ladies night where me and my best girl friends drank wine (although I think the grown-up way is to share a bottle not have a bottle each) and shared takeaway. More directed at my male readers; most of the stereotypes you hear about girls night are true. Not having pillow fights in our underwear (hate to break it to you but that never happens), but gossiping non stop and talking about boys and clothes and makeup and bitching non-stop. It's actually really hard work being part of a close bitchy friendship group because while you never have to worry about them bitching about you, between the 6 of you, you do accumulate a lot of gossip about other people and when you only meet up weekly it's just like simultaneous word vomit where everyone tries to get their gossip out there at the same time. And you end up circling round the same conversations multiple times because people remember things they didn't get chance to say. It's hard work; which is why we need the wine and greasy food to sustain us. For the occasion I dressed fairly casual (well, casual for me come on guys) in this grey zip-up skirt (missguided) and long sleeved nude-pink top (new look). I love this time of year because it's ideal bare leg weather but you can still wear pretty coats and layers and wear any kind of top without getting too hot. I added my long white missguided coat because I think the length looks great with skirts and shorts and then I finished with my black new look boots (that I'm pretty sure will just fall apart one of these days because I wear them so much) because they're the most casual shoes that I allow myself to wear. My outfit colour scheme was pretty much non-existent so I brightened things up with a purple colour pop lip for which I used Up the amp by MAC, which has a gorgeous cremesheen finish.
