I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend

Me and my best friend Lauren are a team, we always have been. We've been on disastrous double dates with an ugly friend so that one of us can go out with a good looking guy, we hate the people that eachother hate and we match eachother with our drinking (well for the most part anyway, Lauren's normally messier than I am). Ever heard the expression, best friends don't let eachother do stupid things alone? Well that was written about us. So this week, despite the fact I've only been going out once a week to save money for my holiday, I actually went out Thursday and Saturday. Basically Thursdays are my favourite (and my pay day) and so I wanted to go out then and Lauren had the weekend off so she wanted to go out on saturday. The compromise was to do both - a massive sacrifice on both parts I know! Before the weekend started though, I was at work on Thursday and so I wore camel trousers (missguided) and then added some contrast with this high neck pink and black floral top (miss selfridge) and balanced the outfit with black caged sandals (new look). I finished with my coat-of-the-moment, which was from missguided, along with my Michael Kors watch and a pale pink lipstick (Bourjois rouge edition in shade 02).

Then I kicked my weekend off with after work drinks (courtesy of my lovely boss Hannah), before I went home and got ready in black leather shorts (missguided), black and white striped high neck top (new look) and wear-with-everything black boots (also new look). I created a rose gold eye makeup look using my Lorac and Naked 3 palettes; I used gold shades as my base and then added pale pinks round the outer corners and darker pinks through my crease. I added winged eye liner, lashes and Taupe lipstick by MAC.

Then after spending Friday in bed hungover and saturday at work, it was time for round 2 for which I went a bit dressier. This Valentino-dupe butterfly print playsuit (from miss selfridge) is still one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe and it created endless makeup options because of how many different colours are in it. In the end I decided to go with a more vibrant look than Thursday; a blue and pink smokey eye. I used pink shades for my base and then blended blue through my crease and then built up the look with brighter versions of both colours. I finished with lashes and Twig lipstick by MAC. I definitely enjoyed going out twice but I didn't enjoy the double whammy hangover that made me believe I was dying all through sunday.
