I got a pocketful of sunshine

And now I've got the song stuck in my head. And now I've moved onto other Natasha Bedingfield songs like 'unwritten'; someone needs to remind me it's no longer 2009. It does feel like the start of summer though, mainly marked by the hundreds of naked children running round the Nottingham fountains all day. I chose to mark the sunny weather (supposedly the hottest day of the year so far) with a splash of coral and a bright ombre lip. My readers in the US, particularly the sunny states, probably can't appreciate that 16 degrees Celsius makes headline news and causes Brits all over the country to strip down to minimal clothing. I went with a less tacky approach and went with a skirt and long coat over the top which I think is a really nice in-the-middle for this awkward time of year. You know how I said that my stone coloured H&M skirt was my favourite? Well I liked it so much that I also bought it in black. 'Why make a choice when you can have it all' is my general philosophy in life. I paired it with this coral and white printed top (river island) with cut-out panels at the back, that went well because of the black edging. I tucked it into the skirt and then added my go-to black ankle boots (new look) because I've hurt my foot and they're nice and comfy. I wore my long white missguided coat over the top and then added my Michael Kors watch and a couple of gold rings. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to wear some colour pop makeup so I painted my nails in this bright orangey-red and then finished with a red and orange ombre lip, using Ruby Woo by Mac to line my lips (even though it's a lipstick) and blended it towards the centre and then I applied Tutti frutti lip butter by Revlon in the centre and blended it outwards. I finished with over sized sunnies which are an absolute must for looking oh-so-vogue on a sunny day.
