Better late than never
I'm actually getting ridiculously lazy with my blogging at the minute I don't really know what's happened to me. But like my title reminds you all; better late than never. This isn't even that late either considering it's my day-to-night outfit blogpost for Thursday. As you should know by now, Thursday is my friday (and my saturday too while I'm saving money to pay off my holiday), and it's my favourite night out. It was also a good day this week though because the sunshine came out to play and so I got another wear out of my brand new and beautiful white missguided coat (which simply isn't built for rain). I swapped back to trousers though because it wasn't quite as warm or sunny as Wednesday and so it wasn't quite skirts-and-no-tights weather. Instead, I went with these cropped brown H&M trousers which added a splash of warm colour (well maybe more like a warm tone, brown isn't exactly a colour is it?) and I paired them with this black and white checked top which was from new look. I added my spring favourite white coat over the top, which I love for the extra long length and clean-cut lapels and then finished with my favourite black caged sandals (new look) and Michael Kors watch.
Not being able to buy new clothes while I pay for my holiday does mean that I get to rediscover and re-fall-in-love with old clothes. Like this skirt for example, which I probably haven't worn in about a year and found it in the back of my wardrobe, after I'd emptied the rest of it trying to decide what to wear. It was from topshop and I love the blue and grey baroque print aswell as the thick fitting fabric. I wore it over this black halter neck bodysuit which was only £10 from new look and has these cute mesh panels. Because I'm quite tall, I often have problems with bodysuits and swimsuits not being long enough but this one fits perfectly (so I might advise not buying it if you're short). I added my go-to black boots and lots of silver jewellery. I don't usually go for a super blended out eye makeup look because I prefer it to look a bit sharper but I decided to try something different. I used Gunmetal from my Naked palette all over my eyelid and then mixed it with Silver from my Lorac 2 over the top. I applied Navy (also Lorac 2) through my crease and then blended it upwards in a slight cat-eye shape using a fluffy real techniques brush. I applied Navy along my lower lashline over black eyeliner and then added some more through my crease for extra definition. I then used Snow from my Lorac 2 in my inner corners and my tear ducts and extended it slightly along the inside of my lower lashline and blended it into the blue. Although I've been loving winged eyeliner lately, I decided to leave it unwinged this time, and just finished with false lashes, mascara and black eyeliner along my waterline. I complemented the blue with a pink lip for which I used Twig by MAC.
I then spent Friday very hungover and in bed all day watching One tree hill which is my latest obsession. Please tell me I'm not the only one who wishes Lucas had ended up with Brooke instead of Peyton?! I'm both proud and embarassed to say I'm already on season 5 after only starting it a couple of weeks ago. But I was more embarassed when stupid things I'd been saying on Thursday night started coming back to me and I'm more proud to say I own a Prada marfa sign just like in Gossip girl. Yes I am a real-life Blair Waldorf (okay so the sign was in the van der woodsen apartment, not important).
