Let's get naked again

If you thought I was as tacky as my title suggests then you've clearly learned nothing about me in the year-and-a-bit that I've been keeping this blog. You've also clearly not caught on that I can't resist a good play on words. I think the Naked palettes by Urban Decay are the ultimate go-to of eyeshadows and I've been wanting to own all 3 for a while now. My favourite budget makeup website aliexpress.com stocks dupe versions because while they have the rights to most brands, they don't have Urban Decay under their wings yet. But considering the real ones are £37 each and these were just £4 each I think it's worth it! The packaging and everything is exactly the same and there are only a few tiny differences in the colours like a couple are a bit darker than the genuine version. To say how cheap they were, I was surprised they both included a really nice double-ended brush with them, like the real ones would. Like with all makeup blogposts, I've put together a couple of looks to show you what you can create (bare in mind that the colours might be a tiny bit different to if you tried it using the actual Urban Decay ones).

I don't know if it's just me, but when I look at myself in the mirror, I think my face looks pretty symmetrical but the second I take a close-up photo of my eyes, they look totally uneven. Maybe that has something to do with why my eyesight is so terrible. I love the Naked 2 because the shades are a lot bolder and darker than the original Naked palette and there are a few more cool tones. To create this purple-grey style, I used Tease as a base over my lid and then used Busted through my crease and added Pistol round the outer corners and along my lower lashline.

When I bought them, I was way more excited about the Naked 2 and I actually only bought the Naked 3 because it was so cheap but it turns out that I like the Naked 3 better! I love all the pink tones which are perfect for creating a rose-gold look like I did here; I used Burnout as my base and then worked Buzz through my crease and went with Blackheart for round the outer corners and along my lower lashline before I finished with winged eyeliner. And yes that is a towel on my head, no judging.
