I'm walking on sunshine
For any non-bloggers, you won't appreciate how inconvenient natural light can be when trying to take photos. Whether it's the lack of it in winter or the overload of it in summer, it never seems to be ideal. This time of year is definitely not - the strong low sunlight early in the morning that casts a massive beam across my face, but if I tried to take my photos after work then it would be too dark. And I didn't realise this last year because my blog was still in the pre-featuring-outfits stage. So many first world problems, so little time. Anyway, as much as I may be moaning about the light, I am a big fan of the sunshine! Even if it's still cold outside, it's all made more bearable by a little sun. So I accessorized todays outfit with these huge over sized sunnies which are probably my faves because they look chic and oh-so-vogue and yet were only about £2 from primark! I think that brown or tortoiseshell framed shades are strictly for summer - go for a black, grey or coloured frame for this time of year. My readers in America, Australia, Canada or any other country with a consistent climate won't be able to fully appreciate this but I ended up looking like an idiot by the end of the day because although it started out nice and sunny, it was snowing by the end of it... And I was still wearing sunglasses. But I was wearing a scarf so I think I managed a good prepared-for-any-weather outfit (I had gloves and an umbrella in my bag too). My scarf was from primark and I wore it with my camel coat (also primark) which is a winning combination for me because I think the two colours work really well together. I also wore this zig-zag print top (topshop) which I've recently rediscovered and fallen in love with; it also matches with the camel. I kindof abandoned my colour scheme with the skirt by throwing in fifty shades of grey (well it is what everyones talking about right now). I love these zip-up skirts and the fabric of this missguided one is gorgeous - it's also a really nice length. I finished the look with black chunky new look shoes, silver watch (new look) to match the silver zip on my skirt and silver stud earrings. Oh, and Twig lipstick by MAC which is one of my faves.
