I'm so intu fashion
Someone once said that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. It turns out that it has the opposite effect on Jenni - although I spent the whole weekend working, I had the best time! It just goes to show how much better things can be when you do what you love and love what you do. As if working 2 jobs already wasn't enough, I spent this weekend working a fashion event at the Intu Derby shopping centre (hence the title) for the same company who ran 48 hours of fashion. The event wasn't quite as big and I didn't film it this time(sorry) but I still really enjoyed it and it was nice to work with some of the same people again. The theme of the event was colour so I tried to inject some into my own outfit with this gorgeous Blair-Waldorf-esque green coat (she wears one the same colour in the scene where chuck finally says 'I love you too', try to keep up). I love this coat (from very) so much because it's a beautiful structured fit although I haven't actually worn it many times before because I got it last summer and it's more of a spring coat. I kept to my green theme (seeing as my nails were already painted dark green from thursday night) and wore this tartan racer crop which I got from river island. I added my grey zip-up missguided skirt (not quite sticking to the colour theme) and then finished with black new look chunky shoes.
I had a total of zero days off last week because the event ran over 2 days but I didn't really mind too much. By the second day, I had come to terms with the fact that I'm more of a neutrals-and-pastels girl than a colourful one so I wore my more-issues-than-vogue top (my main issue at the time being lack of sleep and painful feet from excessive running around in heels) tucked into these gorgeous topshop shorts that do actually have a little colour on them. I added my primark trench coat and again finished with black chunky new look shoes because when you're about to spend a day around models, painful feet aren't a good enough excuse to persuade you to opt for flats.
