GRWM: Twice, you lucky people
Well aren't I getting bad at this whole blogging thing? But they do say that absence makes the heart grow stronger and so I'm sure that a 5 day break will only make you love me more. And I've had a pretty good few days aswell. I always say that Thursday is the new Friday, but seeing as I went out on Friday as well this week then maybe that makes Friday the new Saturday? I kicked off my early weekend with a day at my fashion job followed by after work drinks for one of the girls leaving do's. After work drinks is a really hard outfit to plan too because you have to make it look good for the work part and for the after part - I decided that trousers and heels were the best option so I wore these mushroom coloured trousers (H&M) with this black mesh floral crop top that I got from topshop. I balanced the dark top with my black caged heels (new look) and then finished with my primark trench coat and Michael Kors watch. Oh and p.s. how cute and young do me and Katie look in that 4th photo?!
Never one to let too many glasses of wine get in my way, I then went home and got ready for the night out. Some people say that the best thing to come home to is a husband/wife or your dinner on the table but I say that the best thing to come home to is an online shopping delivery. These new river island shorts were waiting for me when I got home and I wore them with this cut-out crop (new look) and trusty black boots. I matched my makeup to my shorts (which were in the sale FYI!!) by using Jade from my Lorac 2 palette over my eyelid and then I added Creep (Naked palette) round the outer corners and through my crease and added Gold (Lorac 1) as a highlight in my inner corners. I finished with lashes and Taupe lipstick by MAC.
After battling through my hangover all day and managing not to throw up, I rewarded myself with another glass of wine (or 4). But not until after I got ready again; this time I was going for sixties chic in the other half of my river island order. I've wanted this dress for ages and I love the black mesh paired with the white fabric. It's not a style I would normally go for because I think swing dresses have a weird shape to them but I balanced it out by wearing bigger heels than normal - my crocodile print river island pair. I also added my stressed-but-well-dressed bag because it's my fave. I didn't go full sixties with twiggy-style drawn on lower lashes but I did stick to my theme with my makeup by making it monochrome. I used Snow from my Lorac 2 as my base and then worked Creep (Naked) through my crease and round my outer corners in a kind of pointed cat-eye shape. I added winged liner and lashes and then finished with Lime crime's cashmere. Needless to say I haven't gone out tonight because I don't think my liver or my bank account can handle 3 nights in a row. So tonight called for a lazy night in; maybe along with everything else, Saturday is the new Sunday?
