Florals for spring? Groundbreaking

So now that it's officially Spring (as the sunny-but-still-chilly weather today would suggest), I thought it was about time to add a splash of floral back into my wardrobe with one of my favourite pieces from last year. I got this cami from H&M and while it does verge dangerously on looking like lingerie, I do really love it and it has a nice fitted shape which most cami tops lack. I wore it with these dark brown trousers which seem to transform me into an Afro-Caribbean because when my dad walked into my room, he said it looked like I was wearing no trousers. I don't know how tanned he thinks I could possibly be at this time of year but the afro bit may be justified - I was halfway through doing my hair and my natural style isn't exactly sleek and straight. I love these trousers though (also H&M) because I think the 7/8 length is really nice especially when worn with pump-style shoes as it makes your legs look longer. I added my primark trench coat and then went with blue and purple as my off-set colours so I wore these blue court heels (new look) and this blue clutch bag (primark) and finished with purple make up which made me feel like Victoria from inthefrow.com. To achieve the eye makeup I used Champagne from my Lorac 1 palette as my base and then added Blackheart from my Naked 3 through my crease and finished with a mix of Blackheart and Darkside (both from the Naked 3) along my lower lash line, before adding winged liner and false lashes. For anyone who saw my instagram picture of all 3 Naked palettes; I am planning a blogpost with a few sample looks that will probably be posted this coming week. I am also so excited to finally have my hands on this; Lime Crime's velvetine liquid lipstick in Cashmere which is just the most beautiful nude-grey colour with a kindof lilac undertone to it. It's weird to apply because it's liquid-to-matte but the staying power is incredible - I've been wearing it since noon today and I've been out for a massive buffet dinner and it still looks flawless now at 9:30pm without even needing to reapply! Clearly a lot of other people love it too though because it's sold out everywhere! Not to mention you couldn't get it in the UK in the first place so I had to get myself in a bidding war on eBay for a brand-new-in-box version with a reasonable shipping price. It's seriously worth it though, although I'd prefer not to disclose how much I had to spend on it because my bank account is looking a lot less healthy for it (hint: it's the same as 2 MAC lipsticks)...
