The benefit of elle magazine
When I did my monthly magazine top-up last week, I realised how low people will actually go. Among my collection is Vogue, Cosmo, Glamour and of course Elle, who were offering a free sample of benefits new mascara with their latest issue. And someone had poked a hole in the plastic and stolen the mascara from one of them! Honestly some people. Anyway, once I'd bought a vandal-free copy, I decided to review the new Roller Lash mascara which has even prettier packaging in the full-size version. Contrary to most people, I actually prefer fibre mascara brushes instead of plastic ones like this because they make your lashes look much thicker. I did however really like this one. The shape of the brush curves to the shape of your eye so you can cover all your lashes with one swipe and it's quick drying which is handy when you wear more than one coat (the photo is mascara free, one and then two coats and I curl my lashes between each added coat). This mascara was really nice for lengthening and separating my lashes but even after two coats I didn't feel they were thick enough. I'd say if you were after a nice benefit mascara, then the 'they're real' is still holding onto the top spot, even though this one is prettier. Which just goes to show that it really is what's inside that counts.
