More issues than vogue
My main issue being that I've eaten my body weight in pancakes today and have therefore probably put on about a stone. But don't worry, I went running this morning so that definitely makes it okay. Before I get onto the whole pancake thing though, I'll give you a run-through of my outfit. I love this skirt that I recently got from new look because it's in my latest favourite colour (apparently), this lovely kindof rusty tan-orange colour. I think the zip all the way down the front makes it a key statement piece and it's a really nice fit. I wore my more-issues-than-vogue slogan tee tucked into it, because all the best kindof slogans are the vogue kind. The other best kindof slogans are the ones "written" by Blair Waldorf ('whoever said money doesn't buy happiness didn't know where to shop') and Carrie Bradshaw ('I like my money right where I can see it; hanging in my closet'). I added my everyday black chunky shoes (new look £24.99) and my dogtooth coat (missguided £49.99) which is the perfect length to wear with a skirt like this.
Okay first of all, when did people start saying 'happy pancake day', like has this always been a thing and I just didn't notice? Second of all, I don't want any judgement for having pancakes for lunch AND for dinner. Pancake day is only once a year and I'm going to try and redeem myself by giving up McDonald's for lent. Let's see how long that lasts. Anyway, my first dose of pancakes were the American kind, drowning in warm syrup. There are lots of ways I prove myself to be a Princess and this is one of them. At work, we convert the kitchen from breakfast to main menu food at 10:30 am (which means no more pancakes until the next day), and yet when I got my break at 12:30, my manager made me some pancakes anyway, just because I asked and said he 'wouldn't do it for anyone else'. Princess? I think so. So that was probably about 1000 calories, so then when I got home, the only logical thing to eat for dinner was another 1000 calories worth of pancakes, but this time the traditional home made ones. My mum (and dad) make amazing pancakes and I had mine with melted white chocolate, banana, orange and sugar. Although obviously not all on the same pancake because that would be gross.
