A berry cold day

Not one of my finest titles but I'm seriously running out of material on the burgundy/berry front so I can't wait until Spring and I can think up some new titles based around pastel colours! Also it was really cold today! (another reason why Spring needs to hurry up) To fight against the cold, I went with one of my many fur coats - my burgundy one from fashion union (£55) which is my personal favourite. I hate how berry colours don't show up on my camera properly - it is actually quite a rich colour in real life. As are my ankle boots that I matched to my coat; they're from river island and are a gorgeous mix of leather and suede (or maybe faux leather and faux suede considering they were £40). I went with jeans rather than a skirt or shorts because I finally realised that it is actually winter and trousers are kindof a necessity. These ones are from topshop for £36 and the one thing that baffles me is that it's 2015 and there are still yet to be a pair of black jeans invented that don't fade after a couple of washes. Get it together science. I completed my outfit with a pink floral river island blouse although it's made of quite a sheer fabric so I layered a black cami underneath it (for both warmth and decency). I finished with my Michael Kors watch and MAC lipstick in Twig which is my current favourite. I also half-matched my nail varnish to the rest of my berry outfit - it's Deep wine by No7 and it's part of their gel collection. I say 'half-matched' because it's actually more of a reddish pink but by the time I realised there was no time to change it (the downside to early morning nail painting). I do love the gel effect ones though because you only need one coat and they're really fast-drying.
