OOTD: oriental princess

My blog title may be a nickname I've used in blogposts before, but it is also the perfect way to describe todays outfit; oriental floral print and lots of pink girlyness! I love the print of the top, I think it's the perfect A/W alternative to just floral and the high neck is a really classy cut. I got it from miss selfridge for £25 and its a great top to pair with these shorts because the pleated sides and tulip-style fit mean they don't really work with things tucked in, so the fact that this top is shorter works really well. Despite the awkward outfit matching, I still really love these missguided shorts! The pink satin fabric is so cute and feminine and they're really comfy. Normally I think they look a little odd with black tights but because the top is part-black, it ties the outfit together better. I was stuck between my chunky black shoes and my super high heeled croc boots but I went with these in the end because they worked better at elongating my legs. The croc boots haven't actually been featured in an outfit post yet but don't worry I'm sure you won't be waiting much longer! I finished the outfit with my grey faux fur coat (new look £64.99) and silver jewellery; silver watch, Pandora ring and pink flower stud earrings. I also tried out a new lip colour; Bourjois rouge edition in 02. It was part of a Bourjois gift set that my mum gave me as a stocking filler at Christmas and when I first opened it, I thought the lipstick was the natural one I already had because it looks really similar. But I actually have shade 31 which I only realised today and they do look really different on (I didn't mean to rhyme but I went to see the new Disney movie In To The Woods today so I think rhyme has worked it's way into my brain). I don't normally like really light shades but this ones really nice. However, what I'm really looking for is one to match this nail varnish! A kind of dusky nude pink; I've found 2 MAC lipsticks that are close but if anyone has any suggestions that'd be great. If you're wondering where I wore this outfit and where the amazing looking food was from (you probably weren't but I'll tell you anyway); I went out for lunch at Bill's which is a restaurant I've been wanting to try for ages and I don't know how I waited so long! The food is amazing and the building is decorated in the cutest way! I've been so happy to have my ladies-who-lunch partner Laura back over the Christmas holidays (although my bank balance and waistline would have to disagree); as you can see by the photos, we got crumbed fried halloumi to share and then I got a piri-piri half roast chicken with sweet potato fries which I guess aren't quite as bad for you as normal fries so can I count today as a healthy day? Maybe not...
