Belated boxing day bargains

Okay so I know I'm extremely late on this post but I still wanted to show you what I got anyway! First of all, I was desperately in need of a new laptop because mine was about 200 years old and was running so slowly that it took me about 3 hours to write each blogpost. I got this HP one for £400 down from £600 and I just love that it's so white and pretty; I love my iPhone but I just don't like Apple computers for some reason so I really like that this looks like a mac but works like a PC. I also found that the river island sale was the best this year! New look and missguided tend to have so much in the sale that no one has the time or patience to actually look through them, and topshop just contains big sizes and loads of stuff they've dragged back out from the unwanted summer stock. So for me, river island and miss selfridge are the ones to watch out for. I got these gorgeous mock croc heels (which are actually really high) for £30 down from £65 (the joys of having big feet is that they usually have your size in the sale), this embellished collar silk top that I've lusted after for ages for £12 down from £35 and some black printed shorts for £10 down from £30 (they're not actually in the photos). Along with my sale buys, I also finally got my hands on the Lorac pro palettes at a massively discounted price. They're supposed to be £30 each and you can only get them in America so they're really hard to get your hands on in the UK and I managed to find a wholesale website called aliexpress.com where you can get all kinds of palettes and stuff from as little as under £5! I got the both of these palettes for under £15 with free shipping - although it does take about 3 weeks because they're all the way from china, but it's so worth it when they arrive! It wasn't technically on boxing day, but I got myself some more makeup bargains recently; although I don't really wear face makeup like foundation etc., I wanted a contour palette and found this really nice one from the 17 range at Boots for only £5ish! The dark defining half is really good; it blends well and lasts nicely - but the highlighting half isn't very strong, it's more just for blending so if you want a stronger highlight then invest in brightening concealer or a separate powder. 17 also had an offer where if you buy 2 of their products then you get a free quad eyeshadow palette so I got a new lipstick in a kind of deep nude shade which is similar to Mac's Taupe shade (that's on my list of lipsticks to buy). The eyeshadow palette is really nice too although I'm not sure I'll ever find an occasion to wear to wear the electric blue shade. To go with my new makeup, I also invested in some new makeup brushes. As you know, I got the Real techniques eye brushes for Christmas and I decided to build my collection with the real techniques face brushes; a kit which includes a foundation brush, a concealer brush, a blending brush and a precision brush. I also got an angled contour brush by ecotools which works perfectly for definition contouring. Oh and one last thing (to finish this long and rambling post), I have 3 new years resolutions this year 1) lose weight and get fit 2) drink more water and 3) give my blog a makeover. I've started 3) today which is why you'll now notice my instagram feed down the side of my page. You'll also see a few more changes coming soon (once I decide what to change that is).
