Ghouls just wanna have fun

Happy Halloween everyone! I think I must descend from witches or vampires or something because Halloween is one of my favourite holidays! Most people can't stand fancy dress but I actually love it and have forced my friends into countless fancy dress parties. Everyone else seemed to be in the spirit aswell this year because we got 17 trick or treaters! (which is 17 more than last year when we got none at all). This was the first year I've gone out into town for Halloween so I didn't go as big on the outfit as normal; I was Ghostbusters last year and a vampire the year before that and have wasted a LOT of money on costumes I'll never wear again. So this year I went with an outfit made up of clothes I could wear again - they're actually all from missguided bar the shoes. I went with an all black witchy ensemble - black lace bralet layered under a sheer black lace top and paired with black runner shorts with lace underlay. I finished with trusty black boots which were from new look and FYI, I am not actually that freakishly tall but for some reason everyone else just looks crazy short in that third photo.

I had initially planned to do a step-by-step photo tutorial for my makeup but I didn't have a clear idea in mind of what I wanted to do so I was planning as I went along and forgot to take photos (my bad). Most normal people would dress up as a witch by wearing a witch hat but I couldn't find one that would fit my head properly so I went with witchy makeup instead (I blame the big head on big brains okay). I used 3 different eyeshadow palettes for this look, my Naked one, my Sleek Storm palette and my Sleek Romance palette. I started by using Bliss in Barcelona from the Romance palette as my base all over my eyelids and winged it out very slightly into a bit of a cat-eye shape. I added definition by using Creep from my Naked palette around the outer edges of the eyelid and along the outer part of the lashline. I then applied Half Baked from my Naked palette in the inner corners and along the inner half of my lower lash line, over black pencil liner which I'd already applied. I then added Storm Cloud (a green shade) from my Storm palette (obviously) in the centre of my eyelids along the lash line and then blended the whole lot together. I finished the eyes by adding liner and lashes - sorry for the weird varied lighting in the first photo but I could only get the colours to show up properly by using the flash. I couldn't decide where to add spiders webs; under the eyes, around the eyes or at the outer corners of the eyes. I went with under in the end and used a felt tip black eyeliner to draw 5 lines on each eye going down and outwards towards my nose and ears. I then joined up the lines with curved lines inbetween and added a little spider just incase anyone didn't understand the makeup and just thought I'd massively miscalculated where my eyes were. I finished the look with this gorgeous new Revlon lipstick in 477 Black Cherry. Oh and a quick warning if you're thinking of recreating this look - it's very annoying to get an itch and know that you can't scratch it without ending up with a smudged black mess all over your face.
