Fancied-a-change Fridays

Seeing as I've only been blogging since January, most of you won't appreciate how much I've changed my hair over the years. I've been dying it since I was about 10 and I've had brown hair, blonde hair, red hair, purple hair, black hair, brown hair with blonde highlights, brown hair with red highlights, brown hair with black lowlights and pretty much every other combination you can imagine. I've also been growing my hair for about 5 years now and been growing my fringe out for a year but I've had long hair, short hair, shoulder length hair, an inverted bob, a full fringe, no fringe, a side fringe, a full fringe again and so on and so on. The only time you've seen a change is just before my birthday when I dyed it from blonde to brown but after spending 4 weeks in the Spanish and west-coast-American sunshine over the summer, the brown faded and turned into a really brassy light brown/dark blonde so it was time to change it again. So I went with something I haven't tried before - ombre! I was really nervous about getting a harsh line but I've been with my hairdresser for about 10 years now and she's really good so I shouldn't have worried. I went with a chocolate brown for the top half and then had it fading into a medium ash blonde at the bottom with some of the old colour running through it so it blended well. Even though it took 3 and a half hours and set me back by £100, (well not me exactly, thank you mummy) I'm really happy with it! Plus it's nice to change your hair for a new season or occasion such as winter/Christmas season.

To help the hours along, I obviously needed a magazine and I got Elle because I've already read this months Cosmo, Vogue and In Style and I made a good choice because I got this Benefit eyeliner free with it! Obviously it's only a tiny tester one but free is free and I've been wanting to try this liner out so it's even more fun to do when I haven't paid for it! I didn't pay for any of this make-up either! No, I am not confessing to robbery, I just managed to get it all on my Boots advantage card because I've built up loads of points from vouchers and buying Christmas presents so I had £28 worth that was burning a hole in my purse. All the cosmetics and stuff were on 3 for 2 aswell and there were a few bits that I needed; I had to replace my red Kate Moss lipstick because I've mysteriously lost it, and I needed a dark vampy lipstick for autumn and in particular Halloween and this Revlon one is such a rich gorgeous shade I fell in love instantly! I also wanted a black lipstick for doing ombre lips (obviously I'm all about the ombre at the minute) but nowhere sold one so I got this chunky black shadow crayon instead because it's really thick and soft so it glides on easily and it'll work well for doing ombre (plus its really nice for doing smokey eyes which is what it's actually meant for). I also got a new eyebrow pencil and 2 pairs of false lashes. I'm not mathematically challenged - I know there are only 5 things in the photo but that's because I was wearing the other pair of lashes so it would be pretty hard to include them.
