OOTD: lazy sundays

This is NOT a look you'll have ever seen on me before because I'm famous among my friends and family (especially my grandma) for being incapable of dressing casually, so I thought I'd prove I can actually do it. And I've gone from one extreme to the other, I've swapped strappy heels for socks! (which made me feel really short). I figured since I'm spending today at home, there was no point putting on shoes or a jacket for the photos but if I was to go out, I'd wear my camel coat and white leather converse. Ripped jeans are really in fashion right now and I've been searching for a pair for ages but I'm ridiculously picky and I've only just managed to find the perfect pair. I don't like the ones with just slit-rips on the knees because I don't think it's noticeable enough, but I don't like when the rips look more like there's just big chunks of fabric missing (I also don't like when there's rips on the back). And I don't like them to be overly skinny because the ripped fabric makes your legs look like a gammon joint (you've probably seen the photo circling on twitter) which doesn't exactly scream the casual-luxe look you're going for. Oh and they have to be the exact right shade of blue. So you can see why I had such a hard time finding a pair! I finally found these beauties in river island for £40 and even though they're a boyfriend fit, I upsized in them to get an oversized style. Although that does mean they're way too big on the waist so I had to keep pulling them back up every time I walked to the camera and back. I think I need to invest in a nice belt or a big safety pin. I added this simple black striped top which was only £9.99 from new look last year! I love the sleeve length and the scoop neck, and the swing style of the crop makes it flattering and easy to wear. Even though my title is 'lazy Sundays' I should've aptly named it 'hungover Sundays'. So because of a hangover that's the result of going out on Friday, working all of Saturday and going out Saturday night (which I'll tell you about in tomorrows blogpost), you can understand why I couldn't be bothered to do my hair so I put it in cute girly pigtails. I used really thin hairbands to tie it into two even pigtails, and then gently pulled the hair above the bobble to add some volume.

Well if I couldn't be bothered to do my hair properly, you didn't think I'd bother to do my makeup properly did you? I went with a barely-there look, which I used my Naked palette to achieve. Fittingly, I used Naked across my lids, and then added Buck in the outer part of the socket and blended it along the crease. I also used Buck along the outer half of the lower lashline and finished with mascara (Benefit 'they're real'). I kept my whole make-up look naked by adding a nude lipstick. I used MAC in velvet teddy which is just the nicest shade and also coincidentally the dreamy Kylie Jenner shade of choice.
