So I'm sure we all loved getting an extra hour in bed over the weekend but the clocks going back also means the official end of "british summer time" (although I think british summer typically goes from around May 23rd-June 2nd), which means the start of jumper season. Jumpers don't always have to be worn with hundreds of layers though; at this time of Autumn before it gets too cold, jumper dresses are a really nice laid-back look. And here is another example of why patience often pays. I first wanted a jumper dress when I saw the £40 one on the river island campaign pictures but it had sold out, then I found a grey one on the new look website for £24.99 which was only available to preview because it wasn't in stock yet, and then I found a pink one on missguided for £24.99 which I was planning to buy on payday until I found this beauty in primark for only £14!! Its the perfect length and nice loose fit and the dusky pink colour is winters answer to pastel pink (which was the colour of the season in summer). I didn't think it was very cold today so I simply wore it with bare legs and layered it over a white shirt with the collar showing. I finished with black boots, black bag (which isn't actually in the photos but I'm sure you've seen it before) and clock pendant necklace, which is broken so it doesn't actually tell the time anymore but it's nice for decorative purposes.
