Cinnamon, spice and everything nice
Okay so I absolutely loved the makeup I wore last weekend and I probably should've blogged the 'how to' a lot earlier than now but I kept thinking of other blogs to do first. I think that really warm eyeshadow tones are great for autumn and this new monopalette from the body shop is a really rich berry colour. I also got some other nice bits from the body shop because I never seem to go in there and I still had a voucher that I hadn't spent from my birthday (which was way back in June) so I thought it was about time for a trip.
I obviously started the makeup with the eyebrows and then added black pencil (Rimmel kohl liner) along my bottom lashline and out into the corners to extend my eye shape slightly. I then used my new body shop eyeshadow brush to apply the 260 Golden cinnamon shade all over my lid, keeping below the crease.
I then used the darkest shade in my Bourjois smokey eye palette to create a gradient effect. I like to use a sponge-tip applicator rather than a brush to add a darker shade because it keeps the colour stronger. I did use a brush aswell to blend it in the middle, to avoid a harsh half-and-half look.
I then added Sin from my Naked palette by urban decay in the very inner corners as a highlighter and to make the cinnamon shade slightly subtler so the look was more wearable for the daytime. I blended it all through with a clean shadow brush again so the colour slowly went from light through to dark.
At the weekend I finished with false lashes but I thought it would be easier to show you with mascara and then you can always add lashes if you want to. I used 'they're real' mascara by benefit and applied two coats but if you want a heavier, slightly darker look then keep going until you're happy with it.
