Kylie Jenner nudes
I'm a makeup lover, permanent smokey eye sporter and lipstick enthusiast so it's pretty obvious that Kylie Jenner's perfect nude pout would be an aspiration of mine. As you know, I was on a quest to find myself the perfect nude lipstick which is actually a lot harder than it sounds! It needed to be dark enough to suit my olive skin but not too dark that it wasn't classed as nude anymore, and pink enough not to wash me out but not so pink that its then classed as a pink lipstick. You boys get it so easy, being a girl is extremely hard work (and yet lots of fun too). I finally found the ultimate nude lipstick from MAC - Velvet teddy in the matte range. MAC lipsticks are £15.50, so kindof expensive but definitely worth it for the quality - they stay on all day! Apparently the Whirl lip liner is good for the Kylie-Jenner pout aswell but I'm not made of money and it didn't seem worth the extra. After buying it, I decided to be a copycat and do a Kylie Jenner make-up look. You may think 4 selfies is a lot to include but I originally took 75 so just be glad you haven't got to look through all of those.
I'm sure Kylie Jenner uses all kinds of expensive products because she has access to the Kardashian kredit kard (see what I did there) but I stuck with my Urban Decay Naked palette. I started with statement eyebrows using a Rimmel pencil in Dark brown and then primed my eyelids with a moisturiser (use primer if you have it). I then used Smog as a base all over my eyelid, focusing the shimmery shade mostly on the inner corners, before adding Buck (more of a matte shade) round the upper and outer parts of my eyelid, working it in an arc motion above the crease of the eyelid. Then I used Naked round the very top to blend the brown shades aswell as highlighting my brows. I added some definition with Creep along the upper lash line, from about halfway to the outer corners. I used a damp fine-edged brush so the shadow went on darker. I then added a black kohl pencil along my waterline and finished my eyes with mascara on the bottom lashes (I used Benefit's 'they're real') and false lashes on the top (Katy Perry 'banging beauty' for Eylure). Then it was time to finish with the big statement; the lips. I applied the Velvet teddy thickly for a strong cover, and overdrew slightly on the bottom. Well it wouldn't be a true Kylie Jenner pout without a little overdrawing. I wasn't committed to the look enough to dye my hair blue, but I did sweep my hair back so I didn't have a parting or fringe, and then backcombed a little (a tiny little! Never go overboard with the backcombing because it's not a good look) to add volume on the top and a bit on the sides. The final finishing touch is the pouty selfie and that's it!
