I put on my shoes and I'm ready for the weekend

Well I hope everyone had a good weekend - I know I did! I also got to showcase some of my favourite new pieces and outfits for the new season. On Friday night, I went to a BBQ for my friend Joe's birthday (Joe Maltby, things can get confusing in our group because we have two Joe's and two Katie's, and also he moans when I don't include last names). I don't know if I'm living in an alternate time/season zone or if I'm just bad at planning but why do I keep having BBQ's now that it's autumn and getting loads colder?! For the occasion, I went with casual-luxe, a kind of 'model-off-duty' look which is a phrase that keeps popping up in the blogging world. I wore denim mom shorts (missguided) and a pink bralet (missguided again) under a white mesh t-shirt (surprise, surprise that's missguided aswell). I love meshing at the minute and I've just ordered a beautiful hand-made bralet from the company 'oh so lovely', which I'm already planning to wear under this t-shirt. Unfortunately because everything's hand-made, it'll take like a month to get here so you'll have wait to see how I style it. I added my black checked jacket (new look) and rolled the sleeves up for a more casual approach and then finished with monochrome accessories - black wear-with-everything boots (new look) and white stressed-but-well-dressed clutch bag (zara). Then on Saturday, we went out into town so I went with something a bit dressier. Snake print is massive right now and I'm loving it! You can probably expect a wishlist blogpost in the near future. These snake print shorts are from river island and I love the tailored fit and slightly longer length because they're perfect for day or night. I kept the rest of the outfit simple - black racer style crop top (missguided), trusty black boots (new look) and black shoulder bag (also new look). On both nights, I finished with gold watch and plenty of midi rings.

Something that's guaranteed to make any Friday better? A monster missguided delivery of corse! I'm trying to build my a/w wardrobe as much as I can while my student discount is still valid although for this order I actually used a 20% discount code - I have Laura from thepixiecut.co.uk to thank for that because I found the code on her blog! I managed to save £55 and get free next day delivery too! For any mathematicians out there, please don't remind me how much I must have spent to get that much off, I prefer not to think about it. I'll try and show you all of it as soon as I can but I'll have to split it into a few different blogposts - if I did it all on one it would take me about 4 days to write it!
