OOTD: cocktail o'clock

I think that I'm currently paying the rent for both prezzo and revolution, I've actually spent that much in both of them this past week. Seeing as I haven't really seen my family since I got back from America, I went out for lunch and cocktails with my grandma. Mean girls reference coming up: she's not like a regular grandma, she's a cool grandma. She shops in all the same places as me and actually ended up with the same bag as one of my best friends. And not only can she match my drinking, but she's also super generous, and spent the day swiping her credit card for me. I wore a few of my USA favourites; my H&M stone skirt, which is literally the most perfect fit and length, and this gorgeous pastel cami, also H&M (full details in 'forever loving forever 21). As you know I love my pastels and I'm making the most of them while it's still summer-enough to wear them. I added my Schuh gladiators and this mint green Choies coat and my accessorize tote bag which pretty much never leaves my arm. I was having a hand-porn moment; rings are in. All these assorted gold midi rings are new look, from two different multi packs and I stacked them, two on each finger. I finished by adding my Michael Kors watch (as always) and painted my nails with Maybelline color show in 651 Cool blue.

Judging by the fancy cocktail photos, you would never have guessed that I used to be a die-hard strongbow drinker. I still do love it every now and again. Maybe it's true what they say; maybe you can take the girl out of Nottingham but you can't Nottingham out of the girl. Anyway, like on results day, I had a Pornstar martini with a shot of prosecco on the side followed by a sweetshop and my grandma stuck to wine (in her own words, she's too old for cocktails which I didn't realise was possible but anyway). We also followed lunch with the most amazing cheesecake I've had since being at the Cheesecake factory in San Francisco, although I nowhere near finished it. Then the credit-card fun really started, and we went over to primark. Being an avid online-shopper, it baffles me how they still don't have a proper website where you can look at and order clothes.

I got some beautiful clothes but I didn't want to spoil the surprise by giving you a sneak preview - you'll get to see them in Thursdays blogpost. I did get some extra treats though. I absolutely love statement necklaces but refuse to pay the £50 that Topshop want for a lot of them and I find that primark do them just as well. This gorgeous grey, pink and silver number was only £5! And I love it because it's not too over the top and it's still super girly and pretty. I also got some cute bits for my room. My room is deep pink and deep purple with fitted wardrobes all the way round (and yet somehow, I still have nowhere to put all my clothes?!?!) and I love word ornaments (that doesn't feel like the right word but I can't think of a better one). I have a silver 'love' and a frosted silver 'dream' and a pink 'relax' so this white 'love' photo frame is not only the cutest thing ever but also fits with my theme. And it was only £2! I also got some new bedding because I'm bored of the pink 'keep calm and sleep tight' duvet that's currently on my bed; it makes my room look a bit too pink (I know, I never thought that would be possible either). This set is really sweet and has a Cath Kidston feel to it, as does the cushion that I got to go with it. The duvet cover was £20 and the cushion was only £5, and with the words 'dream' and 'love' covering them, they match my room perfectly. Now the bedding is sorted, I just need to work on the clothes-storage-situation.
