Last of the summer wardrobe
Wow this feels like the end of an era; the last day of August. My First of the summer wardrobe blogpost doesn't even seem that long ago and now it's coming to an end (although it is forecast sun all week but I'll be pretty shocked if that actually happens). So I acted as if it was Summer's graduation or leaving party and marked it the only way I know how; with a fabulous outfit. It's not so close to Autumn right now that I'm getting the urge to buy woolly hats or Uggs boots (a type of shoe that I stopped finding acceptable right after I spent £200 on the real kind, which was a horrible case of bad timing), instead I'm trying to find the perfect in-between kind of pieces. This co-ord is the exact kind of thing I mean; the white, baby blue, peach, beige and grey colours are fresh and light (and match my current colour scheme of cool colours and naturals) but the print is more oriental than floral so it's not too summery. It was also a good bargain; only £19.99 for each half from new look! And it's perfect for autumn because the satin fabric is thick so it's tailored and doesn't look too skimpy, and the skorts win over a skirt if it's windy. I used this outfit as the perfect excuse to bring out a pair of my new favourite shoes (I've just been dying to wear them) because they matched the grey in the two-piece. Barely-there sandals are so pretty and feminine and I don't get on too well with stilettos so these are perfect. They were also only £19.99 from new look! They sell them in baby blue and pale pink aswell as grey and I was tempted to buy all 3 colours (like I always do) but my bank account had a strop and wouldn't let me. Okay so I know that camel and grey don't actually go together but I figured I was matching my shoes and coat to my co-ord rather than to each other. I wore my primark camel coat (only £23, but already sold out in the Nottingham store unfortunately) which I am in love with and then finished the outfit with silver jewellery, watch and feather earrings, and coral lipstick.
