Honeys I'm home! I've had literally the best time on holiday and can't wait to bore you all with the details. Unfortunately I don't have the photos on my laptop yet so that blogpost will be coming to you tomorrow night or maybe Sunday. Brace yourselves though, you'll get seriously bored reading through it because it's going to the longest blogpost ever to have existed. In typical fashionista style, I got home to find 3 clothes packages waiting for me which I was probably happier to see than I was to see my family. I had the black versions of my favourite white sandals from La Moda, an orange laser cut-out bodycon dress from missguided and this beautiful dress by Jones and Jones from Topshop, which was in the sale at £37.50, down from about £75! Normally I'm so unlucky with the Topshop sale and for once I hit the jackpot (and I got my student discount on top of that, making it even cheaper); I've been obsessed with prom-style dresses lately as you know and I just love the print of this so much. I'm also having a green moment so it ticks a lot of boxes. The netted skirt is really cute and the green colour block waist band is really flattering, and I love the open back and bow detail. I tried to get a photo of it from the back but none of them did it justice so I just took it flat instead of on me. I think it's the perfect occasion dress; it would look amazing for a wedding; and I paired with my La Moda faves (£24) and some serious beach hair. The story behind that is that we went to a paint party on Wednesday night and after washing the paint out of our hair, we decided to stay awake for our airport transfer at 8am instead of going to sleep. BAD idea, I felt really sick and we all kept falling asleep in the airport and had to run to our gate when it was on last boarding call. The second reason behind the questionable hair is that I managed to break my hair straighteners completely while I was away so I couldn't have done my hair even if I wanted to. They were limited edition pink and white GHD's so if anyone has a pair lying around that they would like to send me that would be greatly appreciated.
Another thing that attracted me to this dress is the fact that it reminded me of the gorgeous one Blair Waldorf wore in season 2 episode 1 of gossip girl (my obsession as you should know by now). She's beautiful, rich, stylish, manipulative and fabulous, so it's no wonder she's my ultimate idol, even if she is somewhat fictional. Without even meaning to, I now realise I've copied her hairstyle in the photos too by having my hair swept to the side. I only did that to try and tame the wildness that comes with it being hair-straightener-free but what a happy coincidence. Maybe I'll become the real-life Blair Waldorf sooner than I was hoping. Now, any tips on how to become a billionaire?
