New look haul: Florals galore
As a loyal fashion lover and shopping addict, I get daily emails from pretty much every clothes company; Topshop, new look, missguided, miss selfridge, river island, la moda, boohoo, urban outfitters. I even get emails from superdrug and unidays (I don't know how I managed to make an account seeing as I'm not actually a uni student). Most of the emails are just promoting clothes or trends but occasionally you get sent some really good discounts. At the minute, I've got 20% off to use at boohoo, 15% off at missguided and 20% off at new look (which they sent me as a birthday present). And last week I just couldn't say no to £15 off at new look when you spend £75 so I did a bit of a haul. And I seem to have gone floral mad; I did buy another floral top which isn't in the photo but it was so tight on the arms that I nearly got stuck in it (not ideal) so I had to take it back - also not ideal because I was served by the rudest employee I've ever come across in my life. I was really tempted to put in a complaint about her which I never do what with the fact that I work in customer service too. If you're in the Nottingham store beware of her; one evil glance and she could turn you to ash.
I thought this was the perfect dress for summer; what with the pastels and the floral print (I said it was perfect, I didn't say it wasn't a cliché). And it was only £24.99! It's a really nice bodycon fabric which is really comfy, the length is ideal so you can wear it in the day aswell as at night and the keyhole detailing on the back (which I tried to show in the photos but failed) and the tiny split up the back of the leg adds a little extra. I styled it with classic white accessories; La Moda sandals (£24), accessorize tote bag (£42) and primark white-and-gold statement necklace (£6). Swap the tote for a clutch and put your hair in an up-do for the perfect summer wedding outfit or add a big floppy white hat (I am dying for the primark one that I've seen on my favourite blog www.georgiesloves.com) for a day at the races.
This co-ord is much brighter and bolder than the colours I normally go for; I normally opt for muted colours and pastels (as you well know). I did buy it specifically for my holiday wardrobe though and at under £28 (top £12.99 shorts £14.99) I could hardly say no. Again, it's made of bodycon fabric (I don't know what the like 'official' name for it is) so it's super comfy and fit's really nicely. It's also got an elasticated waist which I normally don't like, but on holiday I'm hoping it'll help to keep me cooler. The mix of blues, corals, and limes make for a really nice print while the white base keeps it summery. I added my white La Moda sandals again (£24) and my Zara stressed-but-well-dressed bag (£30ish) and then finished the outfit with gold midi rings and hoop earrings (both new look).
I was obviously madly in love with this print because I just couldn't get enough of it; I ordered the bralet in the same print aswell as the dress. The bralet is slightly different to all the others I own (most of my collection being from missguided) as it's a sweetheart neckline instead of a plunging V-neck and has thick straps instead of skinny elastic ones. It makes it much more wearable in the day because it's not showing as much off and it's the same fabric again so it's really comfy and flattering. I paired it with my latest favourite skirt from river island; this pink faux-leather number matched the pink in the bralet perfectly and was only £25. It's also a great length and I love the split up the back (although the mix of leather and added lining makes it unwearable on a hot day). More white as if I hadn't added enough already. I added my latest new look faves; white leather (real leather not faux leather for once) cleated sole heels and then matched them with my white leather (real or faux? who knows) bag from accessorize (£42). I finished it off with my Michael Kors watch, which I have a feeling will be finishing off a lot of outfits now seeing as I can't bear to take it off it's just so pretty.
