Totes amazing
For me, nothing screams 'season update' like some new arm candy. Infact 'candy' is the perfect word to describe these pastel beauties which are accessorizes finest. Like with most things in my wardrobe, I'm trying to move away from black and my bag is pretty much the last survivor. Because I love it so much and got it from accessorize, I looked in the same place for it's replacement and these are the four finalists. I'll go from left-to-right, top-to-bottom:
1. Donna Dome Shoulder Bag in Pink £32
Pink is always a must-have whether it's in clothes, nail varnish, bedroom furnishings or chocolate so I didn't see bags as being any kind of exception. The colour of this one is lush and the slightly longer handles mean it can go on your forearm or over your shoulder (I never use the long detachable strap that comes with them; I only ever use the handles). The black edging looks really chic too and it's big enough to hold A4 files, perfect for college/uni students or working women alike.
2. Double Pocket Bag in Cream £37
I was happy to see that they still had my exact bag in stock (incase I damaged it and needed a replacement for Autumn) but I was even happier to find that they also sold it in cream! I love cream for bags and purses (my purse is a cream river island one) because it's neutral and goes with every outfit imaginable, it's summery and it's better than white because it doesn't show wear as easily. This one also fits an A4 size file and although it's slightly more expensive than the pink one, it's many compartments and long handles make it the perfect bag for all occasions.
3. Pippa Double Pocket Lady Bag in Blue £42
Baby blue is probably my colour of the moment. What with my recent purchases of my white and blue floral Topshop jeans, baby blue Topshop crop top and baby blue Maybelline nail varnish; it's fairly easy to see a pattern emerging. And what better way to follow suit than with a pretty new bag. This is the most expensive one I found but I think it shows; the gold clasp and black edging make the bag really elegant while the powder blue against the grey snakeskin panel keeps it classy and chic. Again it's the perfect size and the zip fastening means the contents of your bag will be safe in the rain (something I can't say currently because my bag has a clasp fastening and so is mostly open, meaning I often have to get one half of me wet so my bag can stay safe and dry under my umbrella).
4. Georgia Winged Handheld Bag in Lilac £32
I have tried to fight it, I've tried to deny and turn it off but it's useless; my love of lilac is here to stay. Another of the cheaper bags, this one is really good value and the simple style makes it effortlessly classy. I have a wardrobe filled with more pastel colours than some people have hot dinners, so this bag would work perfectly. But even in my pastel kingdom, I'm sure it would end up clashing with a lot of things and the handles are quite short which I'm not as keen on.
And the winner is...
It has to be the cream one. Cream goes with absolutely everything, including my purse, and looks summery and elegant. I know it'll fit everything I need it to and will wear well because my black one has been great over winter. It's also the middle-priced one which I often go for because I know it's good quality but it's still reasonable so I'll still have money in my cream purse by the time I go to put it in my new cream bag. I also found the blue bag in cream which I'm considering because even though it's more expensive; those extra £5 are a small price to pay to get my umbrella all to myself, knowing that my new bag is protecting everything inside it from the rain.
