Missguided haul: pastels galore

As if I didn't already have enough pastels in my wardrobe! My latest delivery from missguided practically made my heart melt, with enough candyfloss-colours to open my own fairground stall. I wanted some more summery pieces to take me through SS14, but I've also got a slight coat obsession at the minute. I've ordered one from Choies which I can't wait to share with you all but it's taking it's sweet time to arrive because it's coming from America, and I also couldn't resist this Missguided one. I also couldn't resist stocking up on more bralets because they just fit so nicely, and I realised that all the skirts I own are either wintery or too slutty for the day time (no judging, they're the skirts I wear on nights out). It also gave me the perfect excuse to style my new La Moda beauties. I spent the majority of my day doing gardening for my grandad so excuse the messy hair.

I thought the novelty of lilac-loving would've worn off by now but it's still going strong so I just couldn't resist this skirt which was only £7.99 from missguided (as are most of the things in this post). I love the thigh split and the high-waisted style and the colour is just to-die-for. Initially, the thought of pale pink with lilac reminded me of my childhood ballerina duvet cover, but when I put the two together I actually loved it; it made me feel like a Disney princess. The bralet added to my vast collection of missguided £9.99 bralets; I felt like I needed a white one that would go with everything, as my black one does. The coat was £34.99 and I've been looking for a pale pink coat for ages. I did find a similar one on boohoo first but it was a bit too bright and I didn't think it would match things that well so I looked around and found this one and fell in love. I matched the outfit with my La Moda sandals which were £24 and fit perfectly with my pastel wardrobe; the precise reason why I bought them.

Pink and blue together is an all-time complement; the suggestion of boys against girls. The skirt was £17.99 from missguided and is a faux leather asymmetric style. I love leather skirts because they hold their shape so well and add a little edginess to an otherwise girly outfit. The top was £14.99 and is one of my favourite styles due to the way it shows off shoulders and collarbones. The high neck looks really sophisticated and makes for a perfect set-up for a statement necklace and the crochet detail in the hem is really summery and feminine. I added the same La Moda shoes and my pastel flower necklace (diamonds are a girls best friend) because I just couldn't have a pastel blogpost without it.

I wore the same coat again to show how it would look with a slightly edgier outfit. The bralet was another new edition to my collection and with it being mint green it went perfectly with the nail varnish I was wearing (Maybelline Color show in 214 Green with envy). I also thought it would look good with my pineapple print shorts (one half of my Bershka two-piece) but I haven't tried it yet. The only piece of clothing I've included that wasn't from missguided is these shorts. They were £35 from river island and were part of Rihanna's first collection for them. Obviously you can't get them from river island anymore but eBay is always an option. I love the floral print and the monochrome colours mean they go with any top/shoes/jacket. I love the monopastel trend running through this outfit; it kind of represents my whole wardrobe. Black and white, pastel pink, pastel green and floral print. Not only are they a representation of my wardrobe but together with the white cleated sole sandals, they sum up everything that's good about SS14.
