Fresh as a daisy

What comes to mind when you think of Spring? Flowers! So what could be more perfect for this time of year than these beautiful daisy print cigarette trousers. The answer is nothing, nothing could be better right now. I've also just bought these white heels that I've been lusting after for ages, that I think will go perfectly with everything (demonstrated by how good they look with the trousers). I've put together a fairly simple outfit just as an idea as to how to dress my new purchases, complete with accessories, make-up and bag-to-be (firmly at the top of my wishlist)

The trousers are from River Island and I just love them so much. They were supposed to be £40 but lucky for me, I bought them on double student discount (20% off), which brought them down to £32. I also had them delivered to my nearest store to avoid paying for postage (well times are hard and that £5 could buy me lunch somewhere). Even if I'd paid £40 for them, I'd still be seriously impressed. The fabric is thick enough to keep the trousers structured but thin enough to be perfect for SS14. Because of the cigarette style, I bought the next size up than what I normally wear. I was a bit worried they'd be too big and they are a tiny bit, but I think they look better when they're slightly loose than if they're skin-tight so I'd advise anyone else to do the same. The print is to die for. The monochrome with a colour burst of yellow keeps it bang on trend and florals in Spring will always be a winner. Plus the daisies make them really feminine which is a nice touch. I matched them with a plain white vest from new look which you can get for around £3. Normally I favour cami tops but the loose fit just didn't work with the loose trousers; I think you need something tighter or fitted to work in contrast.

Unfortunately for me, I'm too poor to buy these myself right now so they've had to come out my birthday fund and been labelled an early present. But they're so gorgeous I just couldn't wait to buy them; and they were selling out fast. They were £39.99 from New look but ended up slightly cheaper because of my student discount, but I can't argue with the price because they are actually real leather meaning they'll last ages. I've wanted some white cleated-sole heels for ages but just haven't found the perfect pair. That was until I stumbled over these online. Anyone who says love at first sight doesn't exist clearly has never been online shopping. The heel height is perfect so they can be worn in the day or to go out at night in and they're surprisingly easy to walk in which I wasn't expecting. Plus with them being white, they'll go perfectly with everything in my monopastel wardrobe.

I kept the accessories for this outfit fairly simple; as I do most of the time. I wore gold hoop earrings (new look, although I'm not sure you can even see them in the photos) and a gold watch (also new look) and then finished the look off with yellow nails. Yellow nails are my absolute favourite, especially at this time of year. My brand of choice is Rimmel 60 second nail polish in 507 Round and round in circles. It only takes two coats to get a really thick glossy finish, although don't believe the lie plastered across the bottle; it does NOT dry in 60 seconds. Not even close.

The only way this outfit could've been more perfect is if it was completed with the perfect bag. This Zara beauty is next on my shopping list although at nearly £30 who knows when I'll be able to buy it. I love the slogan on it because I think someone was describing me when they came up with it. I'm always stressed what with all my incomplete college work and looming exams but I never repeat never leave the house in bad clothes. So if anyone would like to buy it and post it to me that would be greatly appreciated. Call it an early birthday present.
