Spring fragrances
I think wearing a nice perfume is a must - no outfit however expensive or fashionable is complete without it. I like to change my perfume quite often so that you don't stop noticing it, but I do have some all-time favourites aswell that I go back to again and again. Now we're going into spring (my heart does little leaps at the thought of sunshine and not having to wear a coat to leave the house), its time to get a fresh new fragrance. Here are the four that I'm using at the minute (I didn't colour-coordinate them on purpose, that was a sheer fluke); there's a mix of designer and celebrity so they suit all budgets.
1. Taylor Swift Wonderstruck £19.00 for 30ml
When I first tested this I really didn't expect to like it; I thought that any perfume designed by Taylor Swift would be as sickly sweet as she is. But I was pleasantly surprised. It is a sweet smell but not overly, and it manages to be classy and wearable too. It's also long-lasting which most celebrity perfumes aren't, you can still smell it even after wearing it all day. I am also slightly in love with the bottle with it's glittery purple body and cute folksy gold charms. And at under £20 who could say no?
2. Vera Wang Bejeweled £33.50 for 30ml
Vera Wang can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned, whether it's wedding dresses or perfumes, everything she creates is amazing (yes I do plan on getting married in a Vera Wang wedding dress, but obviously after I've gotten rich). This perfume is the latest addition to my collection and it's definitely one that I'll be buying again when it runs out. It's a really nice feminine smell, and it's fresh and light so perfect for wearing in the day (especially in spring). The bottle is really nice too; anything pink is good with me. I got it as part of a gift set with a body lotion and body wash which both smell just as dreamy, but you can get the perfume on it's own for £33.50 (30ml), which is kind of expensive but it's lasting me well so far as you don't need to use much to really notice it, and you don't need to reapply as it lasts all day.
3. Britney Spears Midnight fantasy £12.99 for 30ml
This has been a favourite of mine for a very long time, I don't even remember how many times I've re-bought it. I like quite a few of Britney Spears' perfumes actually, but of all of them this one is definitely my favourite. If you ask me I think she should give up the music career and just focus on the perfume designing. It's quite a sweet smell (which I like) and is really nice to wear on a night out, but is equally wearable as a day perfume. I like it much more than the original Fantasy as I think it's more classy and a bit sexier. It's also ridiculously cheap! My bottle is 100ml which I bought a year and a quarter ago, and I've only just used half of it, so it lasts really well too; amazing value for money!
4. Vera Wang Princess night £34.50 for 30ml
My love for Vera Wang continues. In fact this perfume was where it all began. I prefer it to the original Princess as I think it's sexier and stronger and lasts better, and the bottle is so pretty I want to cry (although you do get purple glitter all over you every time you touch it). As the name suggests, it's the perfect night perfume as its strong without being too heavy, sexy while still being classy and feminine without being girly. I was heartbroken when I found I couldn't buy it in places like Boots anymore; with it being the promotional limited edition fragrance, it was off the shelves and replaced by the new Pink Princess (which I didn't like nearly as much) by the time my other bottle ran out. I did manage to find myself a 100ml bottle on amazon though, which will last me ages. So as long as your willing to shop around a little, this perfume is perfect.
