HERE COME THE GIRLS
This weekend has been a really exciting one because I've finally booked my girls holiday for this summer! We'd already decided on going to Magaluf (I never know if it has one L or two?!?!), we did look at Zante or Malia but the hotels were generally much nicer in Magaluf and there were better deals and just more choice I guess. You would've thought booking a holiday would be easy but planning with 4 other girls who all have different college and work timetables doesn't make it that easy to get together and arrange it. It's made it even harder because 2 of them are in Gambia for two weeks at the minute (words can't even begin to explain how jealous I am that they're enjoying 30 degree heat, boat parties and days by the pool, while I'm stuck here in England with heavy rain and gail force winds that have managed to blow a hat off my head and turn my umbrella inside out) but I've spent a lot of time on my laptop looking at holidays and I pretty much fell in love with our hotel straight away. I first found the Flamboyan Caribe on Thomas Cook, but they sold out of all their rooms quite quickly for the time we wanted to go, so then I found it on Jet2holidays instead (which was actually cheaper so worked out better for us). The idea of staying in a dodgy hotel right on the strip didn't really appeal to me so this one seemed perfect; it's still really close to both Magaluf and Palma Nova but its a 4 star hotel and as you can see in the pictures it looks AMAZING. It was all refurbished a year or so ago aswell so all the rooms should be really nice and its right on the beach so we won't have to be walking very far. We couldn't quite decide between going half board or going all-inclusive (self catering was just not an option because we can't cook and we can't go without food), but it only pushed the price up by £70 a person to go all-inclusive so we thought we might aswell go for it and get an extra meal, unlimited drinks through the day and all our pre-drinks. The holidays costing us £575 each, that's with one room of 2 and one room of 3 for a week all-inclusive, which I didn't think was too bad, and Jet2 had a £50 per person discount code which made it even better for us! But it does mean I'll have to stop the abuse of my mums credit card and cut back on all the online shopping and meals out for a while (cries). I'm already seriously excited though; it was fun booking it and deciding where to sit on the plane and stuff. Then seeing as it was Chinese New Year aswell, we got a massive Chinese takeaway to celebrate (it took like 2 hours to come and I could barely move afterwards but it was so worth it). Now it's time to get t-shirts printed, buy loads of holiday clothes (once the holidays actually paid for obviously) and start working towards that summer body that everyone wants. It was such a good way to end January, and I'm really looking forward to February aswell; what with my best friends 18th, my brothers birthday and London fashion week (I absolutely love getting inspiration from everyone photographed) its shaping up to look like a pretty good month!
